Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties is proud to announce Mike Sutton, President and Chief Executive Officer, has been recognized on the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Power 100 list.

The 2021 Power 100 list serves as guide to the region’s most influential business leaders. In considering candidates, the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s editorial staff and publisher looked “to assess not only organizational leadership but those who either visibly or quietly, through philanthropic or institutional means, shape the path and fortunes of the regional business community beyond their own bubble.”

Mike Sutton will soon celebrate his 7th anniversary in his role as president and CEO of Habitat Pinellas and West Pasco. As CEO of a $18M nonprofit organization, Mike provides leadership and oversees the continued delivery of the Habitat for Humanity mission of partnering with people in need to build decent, affordable housing in Pinellas and West Pasco Counties.

“In the past seven years, Habitat has seen drastically increased growth in our number of families served and the impact made in our community. Fostering partnerships with organizations and businesses throughout the region is a huge proponent of that growth”, said Mike Sutton. “Being recognized alongside many of those partners and influential leaders is an honor.”

Since 2017, Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties has been one of the top 2-4 highest performing Habitat affiliates (of more than 1,200 Habitat affiliates in the U.S.) based on new home construction each year.

“On behalf of our entire organization and the families we serve, congratulations to all those recognized.”
