Tellor Estates

Pinellas Park, FL

In 2018, Habitat acquired 7.3 acres in Pinellas Park located at the northeast corner of 68th Street and 62nd Avenue North. In June of 2019, Habitat Pinellas and West Pasco broke ground on it’s largest development to date. Tellor Estates will eventually grow to 75 single-family homes in Pinellas Park.

One of the reasons the previous owner sold the property to Habitat is because we would not displace the 15 residents on the property, rather build around them. All other developers would have given them notice to vacate. Once these residents move on from their current property, Habitat will take over the land to build another single-family home for a Habitat family in the program.

Shady Grove

Dunedin, FL

Haven Ridge

St. Petersburg, FL

Habitat developed 9 townhomes on this 0.7 acre site in north St. Petersburg located off of 42nd Ave North. Each unit is approximately 1,500 sqft of total space and consists of 3br/2.5ba. Units had both a fenced-in front yard as well as a courtyard-style backyard, which abutted a 2-car detached garage with an adjoining parking pad.

The property is held within the Pinellas County Community Land Trust with a 99 year leasehold agreement.

Town & Country Villas

New Port Richey, FL

Habitat believes the redevelopment of Leisure Lane and Van Doran Avenue will be a catalyzing and transformational development in West Pasco. Since merging our two affiliates, we have been able to complete 10 homes in Town & Country Villas, significantly increasing production over sevenfold and this was even through a pandemic! This is an achievement our entire organization is proud of and the work continues to this day. Through a combined effort and partnership with Pasco County, City of New Port Richey, and the community, we have already witnessed significant change in the area and hope to see the quality of life for the residents and businesses continue to vastly improve. However, there are sizeable challenges that remain with the redevelopment, mainly related to the substantial infrastructure needs for the area and flood mitigation that needs to occur. After nearly 5 years of trying to redevelop the property, our affiliate and its Board of Directors has concluded it is best if another entity shepherd the revitalization of the area. This was not an easy decision; however, we believe this will allow our organization to refocus our efforts within Pasco County and ultimately serve more families.

future developments

Pelican Place

St. Petersburg, FL

St. Petersburg Mayor Ken Welch has selected affordable housing developer Habitat for Humanity to develop two properties on 18th Avenue South in south St. Pete. Pelican Place, located on a 2.1-acre city-owned lot across from Tangerine Plaza on the southwest corner of 18th Avenue South and 21st Street, will feature 40 three-story townhomes ranging between 1,200 and 1,400 square feet. Habitat plans to include two-, three-, and four-bedroom floor plans. Preliminarily, the new development will include two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and four-bedroom townhomes.

The average annual monthly mortgage payment for townhomes in the development are expected to be around $1,211 per month for a three-bedroom, two-bathroom unit. The pricing is expected to be attainable for households making $44,000, for example. Habitat will be able to offer 30-year, 0% fixed-rate mortgages.

Pelican Place would incorporate coastal contemporary design elements with a coastal color pallet, modern and traditional accents, coastal-style storm shutters, and Florida-friendly landscaping.

The Grove

St. Petersburg, FL

St. Petersburg Mayor Ken Welch has selected affordable housing developer Habitat for Humanity to develop two properties on 18th Avenue South in south St. Pete. The Grove, located at 18th Avenue South and 18th Street South, will featured between 10 and 12 townhomes. Habitat for Humanity submitted two designs for The Grove. The 10-townhome plan consists of two buildings, each with five units, with frontage on Russell Street. This plan has a more open design with added green space.

The 12-unit design is spread across four separate buildings. Each building would be three stories with ground-floor garages and a utility/storage area. The plan shows two parking spaces allotted per unit to limit on-street parking. This version of the development would front 18th Avenue South, aligning with current zoning.

Little Road

New Port Richey, FL

Habitat is excited to advance homeownership efforts in Pasco country through the purchase of an almost 5 acres site, conveniently located off Little Road. While we are still in the initial planning phases, we are planning for this development to provide 30 - 40 new affordable homeownership opportunities for the residents of Pasco County. This will be over a $6 million investment into the area and provide increased property tax revenues for decades to come.

Longlake Preserve

Largo, FL

This 7 acre site in Largo was purchased in October of 2021 and is currently in development to create 54- affordable townhomes. Development agreement was recently approved in March 2022 and broke ground on December 20th, 2023. The concept is to have a mix of two to three-bedroom homes with a modern style with a total square footage of roughly 1,200 square feet.
