“Home is where your mind is at peace and you can allow yourself to relax and regroup. A place to create great memories that last a lifetime.”

Owen Wolfson is a single father who has been working as a field service engineer for seven years at Platinum Information Services after receiving his AA in computer networking at Everest University. He has four daughters: Karmalita (age 16), Gabrielle (age 9), Evangelene (age 11), and Adriana (age 9). The girls love technology, reading books, playing board games, cooking, and gaming. The family is very close with one another and Owen makes it a priority to instill good values and morals for his children. He says “As a family we strive to have good communication, understanding and respect for each other. We try to approach situations with an open mind and try to treat everyone fairly.”

The Wolfson Family is eager and excited to move into their Habitat forever home. Owen tells us “I need a place I can call my own, a place that has room for my family and a space that we can make our own without restrictions”. He is excited for his daughters to have rooms of their own and for them to be able to decorate and design to their hearts content. Owen’s first thoughts after being accepted into the Habitat program were “I will finally get the opportunity to have the dream I’m longing for”. Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas & West Pasco Counties is honored to help make the family’s dream a reality.

For someone who is considering applying for the Habitat program, Owen offers this advice: “Do it if you have a strong desire to do something more for yourself or your family. You can’t have faith and be afraid. Dare to push past the precipice.” If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a Habitat homeowner, please check out our Apply Page for more information.

“Habitat for Humanity is a great opportunity to prove you are capable of greater things that you never had the confidence to do.”
