“Every day we are in need of this home. It will be so great for my family.”

Warnel, a 9-year experienced Johnsons Controls Machine Operator, and his wife, Lagrace, are working towards their dream of homeownership for their three sons.

The couple has been married for 30 years, and have a close bond with their family. They have three children, Sandy, Stephano, and Bedford, along with one granddaughter, Charis. “We love God and enjoy life together. I love teaching them about God, education, and how to respect everyone they meet,” says Warnel.

Warnel and Lagrace moved to the United States in 1999, and have only rented since then. “We are always moving to new places. It is always a challenge for me and my family.” When accepted into the Habitat program, Warnel says his family was extremely happy. “I will become a homeowner. I will never have to move place to place again.” The family is almost finished with their sweat equity hours, where they have spent a lot of time getting to know our ReStore. “We are finishing with joy. It’s a great cause to be investing your time in.”

“My house will be a safe place for me and my family. I cannot wait for the day we move in. We praise God that we will not have to move anymore.”
