Tiffany is not only building a home, but she is building stability for her family. She is looking forward to having more space and a safer environment for her son. “I’m just filled with so much excitement.”

Tiffany is a Patient Care Technician on the Neuro floor of Bayfront Medical Center, and a mother to her five-year-old son, Tahir. Tahir loves basketball, football, electronics, and his favorite superheroes are Spiderman and Black Panther. “We attend church every Sunday, and Tahir loves our pastor. At home, he thinks he is a pastor. I have videos of him preaching- it’s hilarious.”

The family has been living with Tiffany’s grandma for the past four years. Their previous apartment complex was not in the safest area, and Tiffany says, “Tahir was 1 year old at that time, and I felt that it wasn’t the best environment for my son.” They currently share a bedroom that they are quickly outgrowing as her son gets older. “It’s very challenging, as Tahir and I sleep in the same bed, and do not have enough space for everything.”

“When I found out I was accepted into the program, all I could do was praise god. My house will be blessed, it’s a stone that has been set for my son and I.”

“You don’t know how much this means to me. I always recommend others to join the Habitat program. If I can do it, anybody can!”
