School is back in session! This week, we are spotlighting out Habitat children as they return for the 2021-22 school year.

Malachi is a rising 9th grader who is excited to begin high school and meet new friends! His favorite subject in school is language arts and he is involved with basketball and culinary classes as extracurricular activities. He dreams of being a chef when he grows up. We can’t wait to see what scrumptious dishes he creates in the future!

Going to school is important to Malachi because he knows that he has to be successful with his education to reach graduation. This year, he says his goal is “to complete this school year successfully with good grades”. We believe in you, Malachi!

For Malachi and his mother, Rosalyn, “Home is we we are happy, grow and bond, make new memories, enjoy life!”.

Having a safe and affordable home is important for children like Malachi to grow and flourish in. If you or someone you know is interested in applying for the Habitat for Humanity program, you can view our Apply Page on our website for more information.
