Myers Family Bible Ceremony

February 1st, 2022 @ 9:00 AM

Norma Myers is a Certified Pawnbroker for Ezcorp and a single mother to five growing teenagers, DaiQuan (22), Winston (20), Kamarean (18), Harrell (13), and Naomi (10). Though Norma has worked tirelessly to raise her five children, she always felt like she was failing her children because of the harsh living conditions they were forced to endure. The Myers family has experienced everything from sewer and plumbing problems, to electrical issues and no AC, and even black mold in their home.

In early 2021, Norma was accepted into the Habitat program. Her first thoughts were “Thank you, God. You have never let me down. I am so thankful.” In her new forever home, Nora looks forward to “being able to display ourselves through color, pictures, and design with the warmth and care we put in taking care of and making memories in our new home.” The Myers know first-hand the difficulties that life can throw at you, but with their new Habitat home, they will no longer have to worry about a lack of security or stability.

The Faith Build is an annual Habitat specialty build aimed to bring churches together to build a home for a Christian family. The Bible ceremony provides an opportunity for church partners to gather and bless the property as well as meet the family.
