Safety Harbor Community Input Meeting

September 22, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Come out on Thursday, September 22, 2022, to learn more and give your input about the future of the Elm Street property in Safety Harbor.

The meeting will be at the Elm Street property located at 0 Elm Street, near the Southwest corner of Cedar Street and Elm Street, from 5:30 -7:30 PM.

Habitat for Humanity has proposed developing .08 acres of the property, which are already platted and zoned for residential development into a maximum of six single-family homes. In partnership, Habitat can provide homeownership opportunities for residents and/or employees of Safety Harbor by delivering an exclusive marketing period for current City residents and/or employees. The site’s remaining 5 acres would be developed into a community asset informed by the community.

We believe that our proposal offers the community a win/win situation. A portion of the property is developed into much-needed affordable homeownership units while still retaining 5 acres for future community use.

Unfortunately, there is already publicly stated opposition to our proposal, which is why your voice and support will be vital to our success.

Event Details:
This can be only a 10-minute time commitment. The event is ‘open-house style’, as participants can come and go as they please. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about the proposals and, most importantly, provide feedback.
