LARGO, Fla. — A Largo mother of six couldn't hold her tears back when Habitat for Humanity and local businesses presented her with a new van that was accessible for each of her five children that have disabilities.
St. Petersburg, FL— On Tuesday, September 22nd, 2020, a local family celebrated the completion of the Habitat for Humanity homeownership program. The Worthen family partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties to build their home, which they purchased with 0% interest mortgage.
In mid-February, Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco unveiled its 600th home, in Largo’s Ridgecrest neighborhood, and at the dedication ceremony president and CEO Mike Sutton optimistically announced plans to build 70 additional affordable homes during the year-to-come.
